Land Rover Defender 90
Land Rover Defender 90
One of our Customers asked us to source a Defender 90 as a surprise present for his wife who was setting up a dog grooming company. The 90 would be kitted out to make it ideal for it’s canine passengers.
The example we found was generally very good, but it had failed its mot on chassis corrosion, so we knew that a chassis swap was required. It had been a farm vehicle in its former life and retained a certain farm aroma!
We ordered a new galvanised chassis from Marsland, who have the original chassis tooling from Land Rover, so we knew it would be a perfect fit.
The chassis was swapped and all suspension and brake components were also renewed to provide an “as new” platform. The body was refitted and painted in its original Eastnor green colour, but the roof colour was changed from white to black.
The interior was fitted with leather, heated seats, a black headlining, moulded floor coverings and a flat screen sat nav system. The loadspace was also fitted with a moulded floor covering and dog guard. All ready for its new role in the new business.
