This is the first Morgan that has joined us at Fostering Classics. This 1947 Series 1 is a 4/4 car, named because it has 4 wheels and 4 seats. This is important because Morgan also produced 3 wheel and 2 seater cars at this time.

This stunning example joined us to resolve some issues that the Customer had noticed, with the rear suspension, gearbox and cooling system. Additionally, the soft top or weather gear was missing.

Parts availability for such an early car is tricky, but the Morgan owners club and Morgan factory have been excellent. We have found all the parts and have been able to borrow a tatty soft top to use as a template to upholster a replacement.
